Childs Farm sensitive range #nationaleczemaweek 2017 | AD

Some of you may know that this week ( 16th-24th of September) is national eczema week, its a chance to spread awareness for people suffering with the skin condition. I was delighted when Childs Farm asked if I could review some of their products for sensitive and eczema prone skin and couldn't wait to try them out with little one.

I have personally never suffered with eczema, but have with other skin conditions and I know how important it is that you use products that help it and reduce irritation. My dad has eczema and I have grown up watching how hard it has been for him and the certain products he has had to use on his skin.

Little one does not currently have eczema but I'm aware that It can still occur and I want to make sure I am using good, beneficial products for her delicate baby skin. This is why I have been using Childs farm from when little one was a very young age as I trust that it is soft enough and not going to harm her skin. We had only previously used the hair and body wash so I was very excited to be trying out some new products on little one. Nearly every product has no artificial colours, free from parabens, SLSs and mineral oils.

The first product that we loved for national eczema week were the biodegradable baby wipes, these specific ones are fragrance free. I have been using these when changing little ones nappy throughout the day and have been really impressed with how non- drying they are, yet they don't leave that greasy residue. These can be used from newborn and are perfect for soft skin! It has over 99% natural derived ingredients which is a big bonus too!.

I have always been so cautious of using fragrance wipes on little one, whether its for bottom, face or hands so I was a little bit sceptical when trying out some wipes which did have a scent to them. I have been pleasantly surprised! I have been using these grapefruit and tea tree wipes for my one year old at meal times on her hands and mouth and they have been a treat! It's been so refreshing knowing that it's a fruit scent and an organic tea tree being used and that the fragrance is also from natural ingredients. Whilst using these wipes we also had a small sick accident (you parents will know that this happens when you least expect it) and these were amazing, it did a great job of cleaning it up and had everything smelling fresh again.

We have always stuck to a very strict routine with little ones bath time and I have always used the same products from the day little one was born (just changing it up very slightly here and there) So for me using some new products was really stepping out of my comfort zone, but we have thoroughly enjoyed them! We started using the Hair and Body wash as a bubble bath. As I had mentioned we have used this product before and know we love it, so I wanted to try it out to make bubbles and it did! It made the most amazing foamy bath time and little one loved it. This specific one contains blackberry and organic apple and leaves the bathroom smelling amazing!! (Top tip, if you don't want candles in the house, just get an amazing smelling bubble bath)

A new product which I had never seen before was the 3 in 1 swim wash. This really intrigued me as anything that makes swimming with kids easier has got to be tried. So this product is a shampoo, conditioner and body wash all in one, which is absolutely amazing if you ask me. The fact that after swimming you can just take one product is such a life saver. We tried this product out in the bath as little ones body wash and loved it just as much as everything else. You only need a very little amount and it lathers up really nicely, so you get a lot of product! The thing that made me love this was the scent, it contains strawberry and organic mint and lets little one skin be nourished and clean as well as leaving her smelling fresh, which is very hard to find in products for sensitive skin. This product has actually won the Mother&Baby award 2017 for best baby skincare product, which goes to show that other people with children love the product too  (when it saves time, who wouldn't?)

The final product that we have been loving for national eczema week is the Moisturiser. Now I always use E45, a moisturiser and talc powder on little one, and this has always been the way since she was born. I would never have imagined using anything else but since trying this product I would 100% recommend it to anyone, the smell of grapefruit and tea tree is so gentle and not overpowering at all. It left little ones skin soft and feeling so healthy and even my hands felt amazing just from putting it on baby! It's a really nice cream to use with the other washes and they all compliment each other so well.

If your child suffers with eczema or even you yourself, and your on the market for some products to help and love your skin I would really recommend Childs farm. The whole sensitive range is Paediatrician and Dermatologist approved so I have trust that the products are genuinely good for little ones skin.

Let me know if you have any questions about the products used, and please remember to look after your skin, and lets all raise some awareness for national eczema week 2017!
